Welcome! I’m Micheon from A Lovely Place Called Home! I’m passionate about educating people about homesteading, helping others find encouragement and confidence in their homes, and I create inspiring content that promotes a lovely home no matter where you are.
We live in the canadian wilderness, wayyy back in the forest. We are completely off grid, meaning we get our power from the sun, catch rainwater and also collect water from our river, we heat using wood harvested from our property and live in the tiny house on wheels that we built ourselves.
We vegetable garden, own dairy cows, keep ducks for meat and eggs, a few layer chickens to keep it interesting, and raise free range heritage pigs. We are currently working on building out pastures, planting an orchard, and figuring out how to keep the abundance of black bear from getting into the feed bins!
